Doing nothing and the years keep rolling by.
Not sure if smokers can actually answer this with any worthwhile suggestions, but surely those who have quit might.

the best way to get anyone to quit smoking is to visit the cancer ward in any hospital...knowing the damage smoke does to the lungs and the rest of the body isn't enough...but seeing it definitely is...nurses have quit when assigned to this ward...it's a harsh way to reality, but it definitely works...my sister's husband quit after watching my father die while on the cancer floor of the hospital...
