How To Wean Off Hydrocodone?
For the past 3 mos. my Aunt has been taking Hydrocodone. She can't go to rehab. What is the best schedule for weaning off? The highest she has taken is up to 10 - 10mgs. a day - every 3 or 4 hours (some days much less.....last month she went 5 days without any meds. but started up again....she does have pain....had major surgery a few months ago but the pills have to go).

She has to benchmark to quit. 5 pills a day is enough, then 4, then 3, then 2, then 1, then 1/2 until done. Every other day until it spreads out to nothing.
