Muscle pain and swelling. how to treat, even if temporary. I have a big phys ed !

Question:

Muscle pain and swelling. how to treat, even if temporary. I have a big phys ed exam tomorrow..?

I was sick a few days ago so I got a shot (Nospa) in the buttock ( I have no idea how it is scientifically called - not a native speaker). And the first day I had local minor pain, then after a training for the phys ed exam yesterday I woke up this morning with rather of a swelling and muscle pain. What to do? I have to tame the pain for tomorrow when I have to take the exam. It's a big one. Does anybody have any sollutions?

Answerit, I have no way of getting Epsom salt. Perhaps if I take a magnesium pill. Might that help?

Thanks for the answers.I'm currently following your advices and applying ice.. Hope it does the trick. Right now I'm just numb.. feels good though. Less painful :p

Answers:

Take some ibuprofen and excercise the RICE plan: Rest, Ice Compression, and Elevation.

Good Luck!
