Does this sound like a gallbladder issue or something else?!

Question: Does this sound like a gallbladder issue or something else?
I am 26 years old, 5'9 135 pounds. Healthy.
About a week or two ago, I started getting bad heartburn. Nothing too new for me. I take an anti-acid and it would subside and I could move on. It is getting worse. It burns in the middle where my lungs meet and off to the right side. I mean it feels like there is a fireplace blazing in there. It has also made its way to my back and up to my shoulders all on the right side. Anti-acids don't help at all. Gets a lot worse if I eat something. It hurts to have pressure on my right side. My 4 pound dog walked over my belly and I cried out in pain. I thought it was my apendix (spelling) but I was WebMd'ing it and I read about gallbladder problems. My younger sister has gallbladder problems. I took a little quiz from a site and they said it sounded like gallbladder attacks. I have been on Depo Provera for about 5 years and I have always had an issue every now and then on my right side. I'd end up in the hospital in a ton of pain and they thought it was my pancreaise (bad spelling there) but further testing showed nothing and I was sent home. I never thought about gallbladder problems. I had two very small slices of pizza today and felt sick within 30 mins. I ate that at about 530-6pm It is now 2am and I am still in pain. I had a small BM that was all mushy (sorry of the TMI) But thinking back, I had a piece of pizza at work last week and was sick to my stomach for hours. I have had similar BM all week too. I am wondering if it is my gallbladder after all these years. I have never been able to sleep on my stomach or lay on my belly for more than 10 mins without feeling like i would soon throw up, and lately I can't lay on my sides either. I am talking about 20 years where I can't lay on my belly. Does anyone think my gallbladder is the reason? I am so confused and I don't want to jump to conclusions. Tonight was the worse I have been ever. No fever so I didn't go to the ER. I have a doctors appointment for a full physical Wednesday Morning. (just got insurance and I will be a new patient) Should I wait till then or call and get in sooner? The heart burn keeps me up all night and I am hungry but I'd rather starve than feel that pain for 8 more hours. Does depo have anything to do with this? I just feel like all these years of having stomach problems and I read about gallbladder infections/stones/disease and I can relate and I feel like there is hope, if this is what it is, that I could one day be sore belly free. What do you think? Thank you for reading and helping me. Sorry if I am all over the place as well :)

if gallbladder issues run in ur family then yes its more than likely ur gallbladder sounds like it too.. i had the same pain with mine i was 28 when i had mine removed found out it was full of gall stones.. get to the doctor right away and they do a ultrasound to make sure and find a surgeon and get that removed before it causes more serious damage. Nothing you will take will ease the pain believe me nothing help me i had many sleepless nights and i lost alot of weight not being able to eat. so please get that checked so you can feel urself again. btw all my family had to get their gallbladders out at the age 28.. hmmm.. maybe a trend lol

After reading the first few lines it is pretty clear that you have cholecystitis...inflammation of the gall bladder. You need to get it taken care of since if left too long without resolving on its own you can develop a serious infection and sepsis. And it does NOT sound like this will get better on its own. In the meantime, any fatty foods will make it worse.

It could be cholycistitis but I doubt it. You said it's been doing this for years, cholycistitis (gall stones and inflammation) typically comes on abruptly and gets worse to the point you can't eat anything within a few months. The depo is more than likely the culprit, side effects- nausea, abdominal pain, back pain, muscle pain. All your symptoms. Don't get me wrong, you need to have your gallbladder checked, but acid reflux is not gall bladder. I would have to examine you and ask more specific questions to be sure. So yes you do need checked, but I doubt it's your gall bladder. And when you went in and they thought it was your pancreas, the blood work would have more than likely showed something for cholecystitis too. Don't worry yourself, if it gets to the point where you can't eat then go to the e.r if not wait till Wednesday, tell your doctor everything including that your on depo and he will run some tests.

Also cholycistitis is rare in someone your age and weight. It's usually overweight older women. Eat bland food as much as you can until you can get checked.
