Does anyone know how to stop ear swelling after a peircings that I've had f!

Question: Does anyone know how to stop ear swelling after a peircings that I've had for about a week ?
I already had my two ears pierced at the lobe for a while no problem with those. Then I decided last Sunday to get my cartilage and the middle of my ear pierced on my left ear, then i got just the middle of my ear pierced on the right ear. It began to swell right a away. I've tried alcohol, peroxide and the ear care stuff they gave me but nothings working. I have been contemplating whether or not I should take it out but i don't think i want to. The swelling began to swell a little over the earring. Is it infected ? I've read that sea salt helps and it has made the pain go away. But what should i do ? and how long until the swelling goes away. I really want these piercings to work out can anyone help your boy out ?

Swelling of the ears is completely NORMAL for new piercings. It just means your ears aren't happy with you for piercing them. However, if the piercing is becoming embedded, you should take it out because it will cause an infection. Try doing a sea salt soak, 1/4 teaspoon iodized sea salt, 1 cup warm water. That should help, and then try ice. But NEVER peroxide or alcohol because those actually stop the healing process! Sea Salt soaks promote it. You should always wash your hands thouroughly before touching the new piercings, and clean them with Betadine twice a day. Betadine can be found at your local drugstore (it's blood red color and smells nasty but it works!) If none of that is working, it is possible you have an allergy to the earrings. If you have titannium or stainless steel earrings then probably not, but surgical steel or any of the other metals besides some gold can make you have a reaction to the earrings. If you are really worried, go back to your piercer and maybe they can switch out the earrings for you.

Well if u keep poking holes in yourself something is bound to go wrong, lol!

put something cold on it and keep it there till it goes num and problem solved!
