Question: What is wrong with my hand?
its been over night yet ny hand is still hurting, it hurts on the bit of the hand directly underneath my thumb and all the way around.
i can move it, my hand and fingers
but it can be a sharp pain to do something like cut the crust on my toast or brush my teeth with the hand
it looks a little red but not swelled
any ideas?didnt

My friend did exactly the same injury falling over in gym. She'd badly stretched the tendon and it took awhile to heal up. If it still hurts tomorrow then go and see your doctor.
Just consult a doctor. may be there are inflamed tissues or might be a hair line fracture in any of your bone. So visiting doctor will be a wise decision.
well you may have broken the schaipoid bone
go get an xray or see your dr tomorrow its a possibility that it is broken or badly sprained
dont use it in the meantime
