Universal Healthcare for everyone in the States?.......possible or not?

I also wanted to add - FREE. What motivated me to post this question was that I saw 'Sicko', Michael Moore's new movie last night. Although, he does go to the edge he made some great points.

I am wondering what would it take to get Healthcare equivalent to France or the UK here in the States?

It seems it would not be easy, but there has to be a glimmer of hope!

I don't know how it could be done. But honestly, if a country like Cuba (which is one of the poorest countries in the world), can give their people Universal Health Care, then why not America. It makes me sick that this country doesn't think enough of its's people to take care of them all. And why do terrorist get better healthcare then we do on American Soil. That makes me sick.
