Question: Dental Question: Post tooth extraction: Saliva seems to be coming out from the extraction spot?
I just had my wisdom tooth removed and now saliva seems to be coming out from the spot of which the tooth was removed. It's irritating, does anyone know why this is happening?

You probably had a little inflammation around the tooth. What were dentist's instructions about gargling? If so, Hydrogen Peroxide works well as as a gargle;1/8 of a cup of Hydrogen Peroxide to 1 cup of water. You also just had some anesthetic put in mouth and it will just take time to heal. If you got gauze make sure you sure use them to clean the area out, thoroughly.Don't keeping looking in your mouth all the time and take your pain medication.

impossible you have no salivary glands in your gums,it is just pooling in your mouth from under your tongue,it will not hurt you ,either spit it out or swab it up with a piece of cotton wool
