If you have never taken them before i would say take one now and see how you do or wait till after you drive it all depends on how you feel with the medicine

I have taken before and it has some weird side effects. Sometimes it make you shake like you have the chills and other times it makes me very sleepy. The biggest side effect from the drug manufacture is that it can cause seizures. Don't take the chance. Don't drive when you are under the influence of any pain medication that is prescribed by the doctor. Tramadol is considered to be a synthetic morphine.

Don't drive before you know how the will medication affect you. Remember that "Driving Under the Influence" includes driving while taking prescription drugs.
