The brown bits were probably bits of food from whatever you ate earlier in the day. The one thing to be careful of is if the brown bits looked like coffee grounds. If they did, then you may have a bleeding ulcer and should see a doctor.

It's just the result of you ingesting a poisonous substance (the alcohol). Let it work its way out of your system and you'll be okay. If you feel the need to be sick, do so but don't force it by putting your fingers in your throat or anything. You'll recover in about a day or two, same as any minor alcohol induced illness.
