Is it normal for my coccyx to hurt randomly?!

Question: Is it normal for my coccyx to hurt randomly?
For two days now, my coccyx (the very pointy end of your spine above your butt crack) has been hurting and I don't know why. Is it normal for it to hurt for no reason? And is there a medicine to stop it from hurting? Thanks.

Answers:

There are small muscles on either side of it that when tight will give you a lot of pain in that area. To get rid of the pain you have to free up those muscles and here's how to do that:
Lower Back, Lumbar:
While sitting place your hands behind your body just above the buttocks and press in on the muscles next to the spine and hold. After 30 seconds slowly lower your self forward as far as you can. Then release the pressure but hold your body there for another 30 seconds. Move a few inches down and do it again and keep repeating until you reach the end of your tailbone.
For best results relax your body first by taking a deep breath and exhaling then remain this relaxed.

well it depends what have u been doing that makes it hurt so much. Think about it. U fall, boyfriend, someone hit u there, it all depends. an injure like that could of happened long ago and u are now feeling the effects for pain ice and heat, then go to doctor if hurts 2 much.

You could have hit it or something, but if you haven't then it may be weird. I can recommend Tylenol or Ibuprofen to help the pain.
