What is the best thing to have at night to help you sleep?!


Question: What is the best thing to have at night to help you sleep?
I wake up 3 or 4 times ever night for years. Any idea something that could help me sleep? Don't want to take any pills?

Warm shower - camomile tea....



Have trouble sleeping so i take a sleeping pill. I use 3 mg of mellitonion and some times i use in combination equate sleeping pills max dose which is 50 mg. I think they work best together as im not tired the next day. But when i just take the mel i sleep till 12PM so take them together untill u see aa doc and ask him/her about ambien as you get 5 good hrs of sleep no more no less on it and it only takes 10-30 min to work. But i am no doc this is just what works for me.



Alan, check ur caffeine intake. Get a list of caffeine containing substances on line. as well as the ones u already know , u may be surprised. With a DD, *bucks , Red bull and its energy drink cousins that taste like innocent soda , not to mention all the other sources, sleeplessness has become a worldlwide issue... (no one ever heard of sleep disorder clinics years ago, now they are everywhere.) U may be an individual that is extra sensitive to caffeine, many are and do not realize it. Thats first on the list...... next thing, watch how much crap u put in ur mind with tv and video games , especially in the hours b4 bed time.. which is when most of us indulge in this.... ur system might be pumping too much adrenaline, the "fight or flight" hormone... if u r tired enough u will fall asleep.. but the body and mind will keep waking u up... so check this all out it is a b**** and makes it hard 2 b at the top of ur game the next day.. also make sure u dont sleep in a room with any light coming in... they have done recent studies on this... total darkness is the way 2 go... 3rd shift workers even had a higher rate of cancer from not sleeping in the dark. It has 2 do with melatonin, google it... Check all that, get some new age music, Stephen Halperns Music for Sound Healing is excellent, play it softly at bed time w automatic shutoff. NEVER fall asleep to the tv, ur subconscious mind is picking up murders, fires , floods, war, accidents, on and on ... and then theres the news... talk about adrenalin..u r sleeping but ur subconcious hears and records.... explore all that, fix it if it applies ,get Halperns music, and there are many herbal teas that will help especially anything with Passionflower, skullcap, lavender.. I dont like to rcommend anything that u ingest so I will not tell u 2 take it.. that is ur call and good luck
