How bad is bad? You may need to see a doctor. But I would swish salt water in my mouth, then get a clean cloth or gauze and put pressure on the cut. Keep it clean with salt water and/or a peroxide/water solution.
Apply constant pressure with gauze and your fingers for at least 10 min straight. Dont continually peek to see if bleeding stopped. The bleeding should stop, but if it doesnt you may have to go to a doctor and have it cauterized.
Cauterize it.
