Why don't we americans do something to change our health care system?!

Question:

Why don't we americans do something to change our health care system?

I'm sorry but competitive market health care is a joke. Those who need health care the most are going without it. i keep hearing on the news about how "great" it is to have a competitive health care system as it is to get the best of the best to be doctors and such. Well that is dandy if you are a ******* rich bastard, but the rest of us are left with our poor asses trying to get and keep health insurance just so that if and when we need some medical help that we will be able to get it. and what the **** for? so that the doc can afford to get his wife a matching brand new BMW with over 400 hp under the hood? I'm going to have surgery where my removed eye's socket is, in order to not get an infection. The office is already calling me often in advance to make payments on the surgery just so I can have surgery, as I don't have health insurance, don't qualify for my employer's health coverage for another year.

I think that we should have a government sponsored health care system, that it should be a priority.

Because when it comes to someone's health, why should it be treated as a business negotiation?

Answers:

I understand your desire for health care, but a government run health care system is a ticket for disaster. It's a common known fact that socialized medicine is a total failure, and it provides nothing but government red tape, long waiting periods for treatment, and substandard care. If you want to see a prime example, go to any VA hospital and talk to the veterans there. You will hear horror stories that will blow your mind on how a government run hospital works.

The solution is to go after these greedy lawyers. Those who file these frivilous lawsuits, causing our doctors to have to purchase astronomical amounts of malpractice insurance per year. Also, the frivilous lawsuits against hospitals and health clinics. It's because of these greedy lawyers, the price of health care is as it is now. Also, we must crack down on the drug companies, who are gouging the consumer.

Socialized medicine isn't the answer. Attacking greed is.
