My thumb wont stop bleeding?
I cut my thumb making dinner last night. I spent a good few hours holding my hand up and apply pressures. It seems more or less fine while I have a band-aid on, but when ever i take it off to put on a new one it becomes clear that it hasn't stopped bleeding.
What else can i do to make it stop bleeding? I realize i should probally go to a doctor...but i don't have insurance. And if I had money for an uninsured hospital visit I'd have money for insurance.

It most likely is a deeper wound than you are used to dealing with. You are obviously not a hemophiliac as you would have mentioned it. You need to immobilize it as well as seal it shut. Keep in mind that it also needs air. You either need to staple it shut or use butterfly tape (small strips of strong sanitized tape that act like sutures). Call your local hospital and see if you can work out a deal or price with them ahead of time. They most likely will. They will clean and suture your wound as needed.
