Question: So long story short... i need some advise please !?

for the past week i have been sick with what i think is a cold. I have Asthma and my lung function is not the best its not horrible but it could be better. Anyway ive had a fever of up to 102 right now its low grade and ive been having alot of congestion and wheezing. Ive been doing my inhalers i have no home neb set or i would be doing that i guess my question is what can i do to help ive been taking musinex and everything i have had several boughts of pneumonia in the past i was hospitalized this past September for about a week because of it. please help i dont know what do to i cant get into see my doctor for a few more days and i dont wanna go down to the ER. also ive been very tired and im still congested could this still just be a cold ? or could it be something else ? thanks for ur help!

drink lots of water... it will help thin secretions so you can cough them out. To diagnose pneumonia, Dr. will need a sputum sample. You can take OTC decongestant, but you may need antibiotics. This should get you through a few more days. If breathing becomes increasingly hard... go to ER.

Well - when you get really stuffed up, you just can't shove that inhaler stuff very deep in the lungs. So the world seems to sort of fill up around you.

Probably should head on over to a clinic and get a "breathing treatment" with some heavy steroid and oxygen. One treatment, and maybe you'll lose interest in being sick anymore.
