Constant headaches?!

Constant headaches?
I rarely go a day without a headache. The headaches are normally mild but occasionally they are unbearable. It feels like someone is squeezing my head with pain mainly at the temples and sometimes at the top of the forehead and back of the head. Pain relievers rarely if ever work. What should I do short of going to the doctor which I plan on doing soon?

Oridus Kt sometimes works for me or sitting in a dark cold room with a cold compress at the back of my neck seem to help.
