As a permanently disabled 45 yr. old male, I am needing references for "alt!
Question:
As a permanently disabled 45 yr. old male, I am needing references for "alternative" forms to deal with pain.
The pain began with 2 operations on my cervical spine to remove a lesion pressing on the spinal cord, and to fuse C5-C6.
Conventional medication leaves me in pain daily. I was given federal disability as a result of the chronic pain and nerve damage. Clearly, after 5 years of such red-tape, I would best be served by referral to meds "out of the doctor's ability to prescribe".
There are likely links available. I would appreciate any direction to assist in my predicament.
Please help !
Answers:
There are several alternatives modalities you can try: acupuncture, chiropractic treatment and deep Tissue massage therapy. I've enclosed a link where you can find a chiropractor in your area. You would have to check in the phone book for doctors of acupuncture. To find a massage therapist you can call different chiropractors offices and ask them for a referral.
