Question: I have a splinter in my finger and I have left it for two years?
I have a splinter in my finger and I have left it for two years and recently it is starting to hurt a lot I'm not sure how deep it is but it is about 3mm wide and it is wood... I'm not sure how deep it is but I can feel it when I touch it.... does it need to be cut out asap? If i do not go to the doctors tonight would it get infected over night?

Go to the doctor and have him or her remove it.
I am afraid it is not very serious as you would not have withstood the pain for 2 years otherwise.
It is not a case to worry as the splinter is not deep or else it would have moved along your veins.
In any case please see a doctor and get a correct opinion.
