Please answer my question regarding a sprained wrist ligament? (cliffs)?!

Question: Please answer my question regarding a sprained wrist ligament? (cliffs)?
Cliffs:

- Sprained wrist when pickin up barbell

- Doctor gave some pills to reduce inflammation and the swelling and painkillers (didn't take painkillers though) and some cream to apply on the affected area

- Hurts when I supinate it (twist outwards) and hurts like crazy when I pronate it (twist inwards)

- Any idea till my wrist is 100% or close to it again? And is there anything I can do to speed up the recovery process?

Hi.I honestly think if you try to speed up your recovery on your own,and without your doctors consent? Then your going to end up with even more recovery time.I know it's difficult for you to be sitting around, and not being able to work out, lifting those weights at your gym. But,the facts are....you must take your doctors advice.Period.Do the exercises your doctor asked you to do,and if you try speeding up your recovery time...well,like I said...you'll be right back where you first started. And,I don't think you want that......again.Do you? And,forget what you've read, and focus on your recovery, and what 'your' doctor told you,and nothing else.Ok? I know sitting on your a$$,and not working out is a bummer to say the least.But...you'll be right back out there kicking butt in no time.Take care.

Really have no clue. Why is it that people don't ask their doctors these questions? And you can always call the doctor's office, even if he/she is busy you can have them call you back when they aren't busy, like after hours so you can ask questions.
People need to remember to ask their doctors all sorts of questions, when should I be healed, what does this medication do, what side effects should I look for?
Call your doctor's office and he will have a better idea than anyone here will because he/she knows the severity of your sprain and no one here does.
