Long term effects of clubfoot/congenital talipes equinovarus (CTEV)?!

Question: Long term effects of clubfoot/congenital talipes equinovarus (CTEV)?

I'm looking to join the army but have a corrected club foot, apparently there are the possibilities of long term effects however I cannot find any information regarding these. Can anybody shed any light on the matter?

The son of a friend was born with this condition. Following several operations his foot was turned and is now in the forward position. He is now about 40 years of age and has to be very careful of his back, apart from that he is fine.
