Question: I'm scared of going to school with crutches!?

Hi, 3 days ago i broke my foot. i have a cast and crutches. i really don't want to go to school because i don't know what people might think or say to me. also all the girls at school wear tights and i can't do that if i'm wearing the cast. i don't really know what to do.

I am currently using crutches for the 3rd time in my life......the first time I was about 12. The second time about 40 and now I am 47 and am doing the longest stretch yet! People tend to be extremely helpful and nice to someone using crutches. I would suggest you get some heavy duty rubber bands and wrap them around the lower part of your crutches. You will be able to carry books, sodas and other things for yourself. Forget the tights, I am sure that will not be a problem! Good Luck!

personal experience

I went to school on crutches for eight weeks. If I could do that, anybody could. People that usually verbally assaulted me were sympathetic and were glad they were not on crutches.

um well ur in a cast so if people make fun of u for not wearing tights than they have no lives. idk what ur worried about like seriously people arent going to block ur way down the hallway
