The right side of my butt hurts, why?!

Question: The right side of my butt hurts, why?
It doesn't hurt near the back it's more of the middle part, like what I sit on. And it's only the right side. It hurts so bad. When I walk, sit, or just lay there. I had a really rough workout on Saturday and the rest of my body is sore from that. I thought it was the workout at first, but it's only the right side and it hurts more than anything else. And it's a sore type of hurt, like the muscle. If anyone knows what I can do, should do, or why it's like this, please let me know!! 10 points :) thank you!

well..it sounds like this was from your workout. My advice would be to put ice on your but..like walk around with it in your pants. Or you could try stretching:)

Hope this helps!

the pain is probably coming from the sciatic nerve which starts by the spine, passes down through the buttock and down the leg to the foot. Its the largest nerve in the body. sciatica can originate from different sources but if you had a rough workout you might have caused some compression onto the nerve from your back, causing the pain. it might just pass off of its own accord but if it persists you might need to get some anti inflammatories from your doctor.

it might be from a cut/sore from the workout. i'm a guy but something like that happened to me before. it was from friction from the workout. i tried to stay off it for a while and layed down/stood up whenever i could. i also washed the area lightly whenever i took a shower. it went away in liike 2 weeks. not sure if this is what happened to you or if this helps, but its all i got :)

It is most likely sore from your workout. Take some nice warm baths, rubbing muscle cream is a little odd for your butt, although it may help. Ibuphroen, heat, and rest will help the best!

umm well maybe you slept on the bad side of the bed. You can go to a doctor specialized in this...
