Is my stretched ear infected? What should I do?!

Question: Is my stretched ear infected? What should I do?
I recently stretched my ear up from a 1.6 mm to a 2mm and the lobe in now red and swollen it is also leaking a yellow liquid and sometimes a little blood. Also the side of my neck just below the join of the lobe us really sore as well. I stretched up slowly using a acrylic taper. I have had my ears pierced over more than 7 years before I stretched. I washed the piercing and the taper twice everyday once using very diluted savalon disinfectant which is designed for be able to be used safely for babies baths as well as a first aid disinfectant so it should have been ok for cleaning the taper and once using a diluted saline solution.

Not infected, just sore. I had the same problem when I stretched up to 3mm. The best thing you can do is leave a taper or plug in it and clean it daily with hot salty water (stinging is normal). You might be allergic to the acrylic, try using a surgical steel plug or taper, as they have a very low chance of allergic reactions. This is a great website to buy surgical steel stretching gear from: http://www.bodyjewelleryshop.com/

Don't try to stretch anymore until the piercing gets better.

Good luck! :)

My ear's are 16mm & 6mm, and mine have both been like this, but just swollen.
If i were you, i'd have salt baths, that means for your ear to heal up without removing the taper, Do this for a week and it should heal :) If not, Just leave it and see what happens, if no improvement, ive no idea because 1.6mm to 2mm isn't a big gap. Hope i helped :)
