What to do for sore leg muscles?!

Question: What to do for sore leg muscles?
I recently started training for the upcoming track season. My leg muscles are extremely sore from running, since I haven't ran in so long. Is it okay to run, although my muscles are sore? Or will this make it worse?

You should try stretching before and after you run. Go through hamstring stretches, calf stretches and quad stretches.

Those are some good stretches and it tells you why stretching is important as well.

good luck! :)

Your muscles are sore because they're injured and because of lactic acid. You need to make sure you rest at least one full day of the week, but preferably 2-3 until you're on top of your game. Drink a lot of water, like, 1-2 gallons a day and make sure you move around, that will help to cycle out the lactic acid. Don't take too hot of shower, this will cause swelling in your sore muscles and make them hurt more. Use ice on them for 10-20 mins (no longer because it will increase blood flow after 20 mins) then 20 mins off and repeat if you like... Orange juice or vitamin c can help and you can take and anti-inflamitory if you want to. Also, ask your coach or team mates that have been on the team for a few years for ideas to help you. Oh, and, don't forget to stretch!!!

gently stretch your legs everyday. This will help them recover. Make sure you stretch enough before running, too (but not too much). I think so long as you haven't really hurt yourself, it won't do much damage to keep running, but it might impede the healing process.
