Question: I hurt my knee the other day, and now its still painful to move. But there are no bruises?
Okay...so I was hiking the other day when I decided to trip over my own shadow, when I tripped my knee fell right on a humongous rock. I know, i'm so graceful. But anyway, i've fallen before well DUH and I got bruises from those falls. But this time my knee is unbruised, well actually theres like a TEENY redish swollen circle on my knee. Its like the size of half a dime so I don't think that counts as a bruise? Anyhow my knee hurts when I go up the stairs, and it hurts when I touch it with a bit of pressure. This might be a silly question, but is it a bruised leg or is it something else?
P.S I'm not overweight, just in case some of you guys assume that. I get up the stairs with ease, well at least I used too XD

The chances are you have an internal bruise, these types of bruises could be on your tendons, muscles, or even the bone. Chances are you might have just bruised a tendon in your knee or just slightly moved your kneecap. It's not serious but can hurt a lot! The best thing you can do is put ice on it and it should be healed in the few weeks. I would keep walking on it as much as you can, but if the pain becomes unbearable then stop. If the pain doesn't stop than consult a doctor about it, or if it gets more swollen than it already is! Hope I helped and feel better soon!

It might surprise you to learn that just because you don't have a bruise doesn't mean you aren't bleeding internally. Rest your leg for the next week or so - ice compresses, elevate the leg, maybe use some sort of knee brace - and see how it feels. If it's still bad, see a doctor.

You just bruised the muscle or pulled it take ibuprofen or something trust me I've done it a million times.
