Are there any anti-inflammtory drugs I can use that are not NSAIDS?!

Question: Are there any anti-inflammtory drugs I can use that are not NSAIDS?
All I can find is Tylenol (acetaminophen). I have arthritis and Voltaren helped me for many years, but it has caused a serious ulcer. I need something that won't do that.

You may try looking into this possibility: http://www.care2.com/greenliving/enzyme-…

Excerpt: 'Serrapeptase may also be beneficial to treat other conditions involving inflammation, such as arthritis, injuries, multiple sclerosis (MS), colitis, and others. In a 2008 study published in the Indian Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Drs. Viswanatha and Patil found that serrapeptase was more effective than aspirin at reducing inflammation in animals. Additional research will indicate whether serrapeptase has the same beneficial effects in humans.'

Tylenol in the long run can affect your liver dear.
I suggest you to take Magnesium and calcium supplements with Vitamin D. Very good pain reliever

There is also a very good anti-inflammtory natural supplement on the market. You can purchase it in any health food stores. The name is Gulucosamine & Chondrotin.

Movement and a little exercise can help too.

Take care

Tylenol is an analgesic which is why it is not an anti-inflammatory drug. Tylenol is used for mild pain relief or as a fever reducer, not to reduce inflammation... (swelling). Unfortunately things that reduce inflammation are NSAIDS. There aren't many other options.

Instead of answering that question with a blanket, it would be helpful to know the OPQRST of the pain.
In other words: where is the pain? does it radiate? what does it feel like? what makes it better or worse? what have you already tried? what medications are you currently taking? what else are you doing to help alleviate the pain? what allergies or medical conditions do you have? There are options but you should talk to a health professional (try an allopath AND a non-allopathic provider for best results. Good luck...and health.

I thought Advil was good for inflamation. The doctors are always advising us to use it to reduce swollen lymph nodes. I don't know what is NSAIDS sorry. Hope you feel better.

Sorry but no. You will have to use other drugs, like Tramadol. You might look into Aspirin combined with Maalox or something.
