Why does it STILL hurt!?!

Question: Why does it STILL hurt!?
I had a boyfriend from October 17th to December 18th (the day before I left for a huge family vacation so I had to act happy the whole time) and I know thats not a long time but he was my first real boyfriend (we are both 14 and freshman in high school btw) and my first kiss (I was his first ever girlfriend and also his first kiss) and I thought I would be over him by now, I mean we only went out for 2 months, how long could I need to recover? But still, being within 10 feet of him makes me want to scream and cry and whenever any of my friends talk about him I just feel horrible and especially since Valentine's day is tomorrow I'm like dying. Neither of us has been in a relationship since then and I don't know if he likes anyone but I just feel horrible... And the way he dumped me had like little to no closure like he never actually said "I'm breaking up with you" or ANYTHING like that.

WHY do I still feel so heartbroken? And don't say anything like *This is why High School relationships are stupid* or anything like that because even though high school relationships may not be as serious our heartbreaks hurt just as much...

Answers:

First, I'm sorry about your breakup, I know how it feels. It's not easy to let go of someone, and it never is. Just try and find reassurance in the fact that we all experience a bad break up. What happens to a lot of relationships, is that people aren't friends after they break up. Try talking to him and maybe trying over. The pain is probably coming from the fact you had so many memories with him and it's just so hard to let go. I promise you, someone better will come along and you will be very happy. You should talk to him and see if you could work things out, I'm sure he feels the same way, if not worse. Guys are sometimes very sensitive when it comes to this stuff, and they usually hide it.

I wish you a lot of luck, and again, I'm very sorry.
