Knot in my hip & pain that shoots down to my thigh?!

Question: Knot in my hip & pain that shoots down to my thigh?
my left hip is sore and there is like i tiny knot and when I move my left leg the wrong way, all of a sudden it hurts in my thigh and I can barely walk or move my leg because it hurts so much. Sometimes it's fine even though if i press the knot i can feel the pain in the knot. But sometimes it hurts on my left hip and my left thigh if I move it wrong. I don't know what it is but I think my mom thinks I'm exaggerating which upsets me...

I went to the doctor today and got xrays but I don't know what's gonna happen yet. I went to school and had to walk up so many stairs and my leg was hurting so bad when I got home. I have school tomorrow and I don't know what to do! But I know that it will hurt very bad after all the stairs I have to walk up and down and all the walking.

Any idea what is wrong?

What it sounds like is you are suffering from trigger points in the gluteus minimus muscle. Trigger points are "knots" in muscles that refer pain to other areas(like down the leg).Take a look at the link and see if it looks like the pain you are experiencing,or at least close.....http://myofascialtherapy.org/symptom-che…
