Health Question about TMJ?!

Question: Health Question about TMJ?
I have severe TMJ and I am so sick of it. I have tried so many different things, including wearing a splint. Can anyone suggest anything that has helped them

Answers:

See your health care provider as soon as possible (dentist or orthodontist) for consultation. One of the main causes of jaw pain is injury or inflammation on the joint of the jaw which is known as temporomandibular joint disorders. The jaw joints lie just in front of the ears, on both sides of the head where the upper and lower jaw come together. These joints with the help of muscles and ligaments surrounding it, make us unable to make movements with our mouth like talking, chewing, yawning, etc. When an injury occurs to these joints, jaw pain is said to occur along with other symptoms like headache, earache, neck pain, etc.

Acetaminophen, aspirin, ibuprofen, or naproxen may be used for pain when a jaw pain is suspected and the dental appointment is being arranged. If there is fever or swelling of the jaw, the dentist will usually prescribe an antibiotic.
I hope this helps you. And good luck.

My sister has this. Her deal, wasn't so much the TMJ it's self, as hers wasn't so severe, but the migraines it caused her. She visited a chiropractor, and her migraines vanished. In your case, I'm not sure how to resolve severe TMJ. Splints and surgery are the only things I can think of. If you have the real bad migraines, see a chiropractor.
