Is it bad to sleep a lot when you're sick?!


Question: Is it bad to sleep a lot when you're sick?
I've been feeling super sleepy for the past 2 days. I do have cough, sneezing, minor headaches, sore body and I feel kind of dizzy. Is it bad to sleep a lot or should I be up and moving? I just want to get better so I can return back to work in good condition tomorrow. Thanks.

no its actually good for you it gives your body the rest it needs for your immune system the strength it needs to fight off the infection/virus.



When you get tired, your metabolic rate increases so that your body can repair damaged cells and develop immunity. By resting, you give your body an opportunity to focus all of it's resources to fighting the illness.



No it allows your body to concentrate more on fighting of bad things once you are better u can exercise it isn't a gd idea to move around beforehand.
