Can the human jaw bite the fingers off the human hand?!

Question: Can the human jaw bite the fingers off the human hand?
Me and my friend have an argument about if he could bite my fingers off. I keep telling him that he probably can't. He is sure he can but neither one of us has the nerve to try it. Someone help me! On a second note I understand the jaw is a powerful muscle and might be capable of putting out the pressure per square inch but can a human do it on their own accord?
