Sprained Ankle?!

Sprained Ankle?
I sprained my ankle last week and went to the doctor. He looked at it and said that it looked like it was broken and did an x-ray and then said that it was just sprained real bad. I have a follow-up appointment in a few days, but is it normal for it to get bruises all over and have a piercing pain in the middle of your foot? I haven't sprained or broken a bone before, so I don't know.

it helps the sprain alot and by time you go to the doctor it should be healing really well
