If for some reason if your arm or leg get under something heavy for long , say even when you put your head over your arm, or if you wear a tight belt, socks or shoe laces or arm /wrist straps etc. the blood circulation in that area gets affected. It is then that you have the Pins and Needles like sensation.
This happens as the tissues start crying for want of blood and air circulation.
It is also called Cry of the Tissues.
