Question: MEDICAL HELP, Throat Infections?
I realise this isn't normal and was wondering if there is something wrong? Need my tonsils removed? Any educated answers would be helpful.
I'm 18 and have smoked since I was 13 (hold your judgements). I am not an idiot and do understand that this could be the problem, but lots of people smoke and do not suffer like I do.

yes, have your tonsils removed...
my older daughter had this very same issue until she had her tonsils removed, and yes, she smokes...
Hi, My name is Scott, and I suffered this illness from grade 7 to grade 11... and it damn well nearly killed me. If these infections, reflect strep throat, mono, fever and flu symptoms. I highly advise you visit a doctor, approach them with the issue being a strep bacteria that resides in your tonsils. on December 5th 2009 I had a tonsilectamy (sorry for incorrect spelling) and I've had few encounters with strep since. I highly advise you speak to a physician aboutthis problem and discuss a possible surgery. Thank-you for reading and I hope I've helped.
Personal Illness
I now feel that you must be suffering from acute acidity because you skip meals quite often and do not take bites at regular intervals.
Acute acidity will damage your teeth and affect your throat as well.
Dear friend, I will also suggest that :
1. You slowly give up smoking
2. Stop drinking Soft Drinks including Soda Water
3. Stop drinking cold water
4. Stop eating chillies and spicy food
5. Start hot water gargle twice daily after adding a pinch of salt to that water
Personal opinion
i don't know about smoking... but your tonsils could be it... i had my tonsils taken out but they didn't do it properly and they started growing back...i know i didn't know that could happen but since they have been growing back i have had non stop throat infections and it sucks i know
tonsils need to be whipped out mate.
