Professional Medical Advice On Injections Please?!

Question: Professional Medical Advice On Injections Please?
At school tomorrow the nurses are in and are going to be giving the jab for Polio, Diphtheria and Tetanus. I've had these jabs either every year or every other year since I was born (I have all the dates and have been told the nurses have all the doctors records). The last time I had the jab was the 4th of April last year for my holiday abroad. Will I need the catch up jabs tomorrow?

Also, I have a fear of nurses and really don't want to go in the room, if someone could help me with this i'd be grateful!

Answers:

Please do not decide yourself.

Please take the last year's report and record and produce it before the Nurses. They may not inoculate you as it is not over 12 months since your last injection.

Personal opinion

not sure how often you need them but you can discuss it with the nurse,

nurses arent scary, we are just people doing a job, when you go in the room remember - you wont be in there long, - the injection might hurt a bit but not for long, - concentrate on either thinking of "hmm that injection feels sore but unusual' then it doesnt hurt so much or think about something else entirely,

remember the injections hurt a little but the diseases hurt a lot more
