Severe stomach cramps after eating?!

Question: Severe stomach cramps after eating?
It's so painful that I can't walk, ride in a car or even stand and sit. It feels like somethings twisting, squeezing and cutting my stomach inside.

It's not as painful in the mornings when I eat, I barely feel it then.

It's so damn painful in the afternoon after I eat.

And at night it's only a mild, 'pinging' kind of pain.

I eat 4 times a day.

Morning: Weet Bix and 2& low fat milk

Snack: Usually half a sandwich with a soy patty and chutney or something of the sort.

Lunch: 1 Weet Bix biscuit with some peanut butter and the other half of the same sandwich as my snack.

Dinner: Usually rice (sometimes brown and other times white) with a small handful of green snap peas.

I take a teenager women multitime vitamin (Vital) and I drink a lot of water.

I also drink about 1 cup of coffee a day, no sugar. I drink tea with milk, no sugar (only sometimes)

I exercise 4 times a week and am a vegetarian (who only doesn't eat meat).

Also, and sorry for this one, I have one bowel movement a day and then my stomach feels weird, like when you took a laxative, that feeling you get when you 'have to go', that's the feeling I get every time.

What can this stomach pain be? My metabolism? A digestive problem? What?

There can be many causes of stomach cramps after eating. There cannot be any definitive reasons behind each time the person feels the pain. There can be minor to serious reasons behind stomach ache after eating. The following can be the reasons behind abdominal pain after eating.

- Fast eating: Eating and chewing food slowly is very important for the food to get digested. If a person fails to do so, then he/she can suffer from stomach cramps.

- Constipation: Food with low fiber counts can result in a lack of fibers in one's body and as a result, the person might suffer from constipation which is the reason for stomach cramps after eating.
- Anxiety: Eating your meals under tremendous mental stress and anxiety can result in indigestion which can again result in stomach cramps after eating.

- Exercises: Exercising right after a meal can also cause sudden stomach cramps. Hence, it is advisable not to start any physical activity for at least an hour after eating food.

Could be many different things, but one thing that i can think of is a food intolerance. Is there any history of Coeliac disease (gluten intolerance) in your family? Get yourself down to your GP and get it checked out, that would be my first port of call, doctor's (should!) know best!!

I'm with the other answer re think your diet
or it could be IBS?
Irritable bowel syndrome.
Watch what you eat, and try milk. It calms the acids in your stomach

Experience

If that is really all you eat, then you are experiencing hunger pains. Do yourself a favor and rethink your diet.

You re notvery specific about te location of your pain but I suppose that by stomach you mean upper abdomen if so I think that you might be suffering from a form of gllbladder disorder such as gallstones or biliary dyskinesia (lazy gallbladder),in these diseases pain starts after meals and is sometimes accompanied by some other of your symptms such as a feeling of abdominal fullness similar to gas pain sensations and constipation.I think that the best you can do is to se you GP ,he might wish you to have an ultrasound scan to check your abdominal vicera and especialyl your gallbldder to determine if it could be the cause of your problems
