Just simply rest it. Do finger exercises everyday, but light ones.
I had a fractured finger when I was in year 6, it took around 3 weeks to heal.

Usually 6-8 weeks depending on how bad the break was and if it needed surgery etc. Nothing will speed up the process of healing , but if you smoke it will take longer to heal. Just do what your doctor told you to do and dnot go trying to use the finger or take off the splint ..the doc will decide when thats to happen.
