Question:

Orly no bite?

I have researched nail biting for my 5 yo. I have only found products that say they may burm the eyes. I have not found Orly No Bite. Does anyone know if it will burn my daughters eyes and how often do you have to re-apply? She is very active and loves to swim. Please give me all the info you may have. Thank You- I NEED help, she is starting kindergarten this year and I don't want her preoccupied or picked on for her chewed up nails and fingertips!!!

Answers:

Hi i did some researching and this is what i could find. I dont think it burns eyes but 1 person did say something about a sting on the tongue if you keep biting it but i dont think that happened to anyone else. Good luck and let me know how it turns out!

A bitter flavored nail bite deterrent helps break the annoying and painful nail biting habit, allowing for healthy new nail growth.

No Bite is a fast and effective bad tasting, clear color bitter nail bite deterrent formulated to stop nail biting. Promotes healthy nail growth. Enriched with natural pearl for enhanced shine and durability. Can be use alone or over nail polish. Good for both men and women. Dries to a natural looking finish - not shiny. Does not wash off with water.

Directions:

Apply No Bite to entire nail surface and re-apply as necessary. Allow to dry completely. May be applied over clean nail or over nail polish.

Ingredients:

MEK, Isopropyl Alcohol, n-butyl Alcohol, Alcohol Denat, Toluene, Cellulose Acetate Propionate, Nitrocellulose, Butyl Acetate, Dibutyl Phthalate, Tosylamide/Formaldehyde Resin, Camphor, Benzophenone-1, Denatonium Benzoate, D &C Red # 17 (CI 26100).

Some people have said if you bite your nails after applied and stuff that it has some really bad taste but i suppose that will help your daughter not touch them anymore!
There was a question that asked
Is your product safe for small children to use?

was: Unless the small child continues chewing his/her nails regularly (which SHOULDN'T be the case) I don't see any reason why not. The biting should't even be happening while the stuff is on, and won't unless he/she somehow enjoys the taste (it's SUPER bitter). That's my opinion, if you're really worried ask ORLY yourself: http://www.orlybeauty.com/customer_care....
