Why does it take long to feel your finger when you cut it deeply enough?!


Question: Why does it take long to feel your finger when you cut it deeply enough?
it has to relate to the cell cycle. why can't you feel the tip of your finger when cut deeply?\ why cant a scab just form underneath like with a small cut?

Because the nerve has been severed
Wound too large for scabbing
