My cockateil has had his 2nd partial seizure ..hes 22yrs old.. is there anything i can do for him?
first one was 6mo.s ago... then it slowly went away..today he had the 2nd one... he is eating seeds/water normally, can use wings and feet/legs climbing just fine... he has been sleeping alot in last 2 to 3 weeks.. less interested in his treats:apples, grapes, lettuce, peas, rice... he is 22years old... is there anything i can be doing for him?? he is in a new cage/changed that thinkn it was his old cage/wire...i clean it everyweekend.... he doesnt appear to be in any pain but just kinda scared when it happened... he didnt leave my shoulder for about 5hours after it happened... i rubbed his head and whispered i love him soothing sounds the entire time to calm him... he's not pickn any feathers off, no cuts or injuries... should i have a vet look at him again?? the first visit 6mos ago - he didnt twitch at all when we went in.. she never mentioned a seizure but did point out he is 'old'.... any feedback??? help??? i just dont want him to be in any pain....
