Is arthrotec considered a narcotic?!


Question: Is arthrotec considered a narcotic?
Im 17 years old and have been perscribed 1 arthrotec pill 3 times a day. I just want to know if it is considered a narcotic. I have people telling me it was dumb of my doctor to put me on them in the first place. Is there anything i can do to make the stomach pain leave because of the pills?

No, its not. Its simmilar to advil. How about the stupid ********* who are telling you this leave the diagnosing to the people with the 8 yr degrees.

I agree with the other 2 answers. I just wanted to add the best thing to do with a medication like this is to not take it on an empty stomach. It will irritate the lining of your stomach. If you have some Mylanta or Maalox take a tablespoon of that and it will coat your stomach. Always eat something before taking an anti-inflammatory.

According to Web MD site this medication is not a narcotic-it is a NSAID and can cause stomach problems. You need to contact your Dr and/or Nurse and let them know you are having stomach pain. I agree with Adam-the people telling you it is dumb should not say anything-They are not Dr.'s ! I suggest you do what your Dr says.
