Collapsed at work. Should i go to the doctors?!

Question: Collapsed at work. Should i go to the doctors?
I'm 17, Female. Healthy weight. Fairly good diet.
Okay so a few weeks ago i was at work and collapsed - it came very fast, i was fine the whole day until about 5 minutes before it happened. i felt very lightheaded and thought i was going to be sick. by the time i got to the bathroom, i had lost feeling in m arms and legs and collapsed on the floor. My arms and legs sort of seized up(all m muscles contracted, my hands curled in and came in towards my chest. I had no control at all). Of course i panicked, who wouldn't in a situation like that but i only panicked after i lost feeling in my limbs, not before. I requested to be taken home instead of emergency, thinking my parents would take the necessary actions when i got home. (by the time i got home i could walk but i needed assistance) My dad laid me down with my feet up and fed me chocolate and Solo for the next hour or so. An hour and a half later i had most of the feeling back into my limbs.
My parents were convinced that i just had a panick attack mixed with some low blood pressure(which i know i already have) and was made worse because i had just gotten over a cold, and didnt need to go to emergency/doctors. I thought it may have had something to do with my blood sugar levels but my parents think that if they had given me a sandwich instead of chocolate and soft drink it would have done the same thing, just something for me to focus on. I managed to convince them that i should get this checked out but by then i had been a few days and would be pointless to go to the doctor without any present symptoms. This hasn't been the only time this has happened, it was the first to that extent but i get faint often and dehydrated quickly (usually the only thing that makes me feel better when faint at school is sugar).
I'm just a little worried, we have lots of medical problems like diabetes in the family(both sides) and even though none have juvenile diabetes, i cant help but be curious.
I'm not saying that i think i have diabetes but more the fact that is there cause to go to the doctor?
It has been 3 weeks since it happened and i havent had an episode to that extent again.
It would be great to have another opinion :)

You could have hypoglycemia, which is low blood sugar. You don't need to spend a whole bunch of money on a doctor to determine this. Simply have someone who has diabetes, and the US with all its fat people, have plenty folks with diabetes. Have them check your blood sugar and they will tell you whether you have low blood sugar. If you do, go see a doctor.
