Why does the middle part of my thumb hurts?!

Question: Why does the middle part of my thumb hurts?
It hurts even a slight touch, no swollen, normal compared to my other thumb ( which doesn't hurt ) doesn't hurt when contact with water or wind.
This is what happened at the day i hurt my finger.
It was after a tiring basketball training and i decided to buy two bottles of 1.5 litters greentea at a convienece store. I carried two heavy bottles with my left hand ( the hand that the thumb hurts ) and because my bag was heavy ( it's a slingbag , bag that you hang around your body, not the ones you carry behind you ) I carried it up with my right hand because my shoulder was aching and with this, I board a train and went back home.
After a bath, when i was wearing my pants, i noticed that my thumb will start to hurt if it had contact with my pants so i wear it without the help of my thumb ( looks weird ). Moments later, i started to noticed that even with a slightest touch on my thumb , there'll be pain. I became worried and checked the internet , they say it could be an infection although most unlikely.
Please try to explain what's happening and not advise me to see a doctor. I am going to sleep now, worried that my thumb would have contact with my bed ): I'll see if it still hurts tomorrow and inform you guys.
Thankyou !
