Tailbone/hip pain during pregnancy?!

Question: Tailbone/hip pain during pregnancy?
I'm 28 weeks pregnant, and have been experiencing sharp pain on the right side of my tailbone. It may also be the inside of my right hip bone, because it hurts when I walk/put weight on my right leg. It doesn't not hurt to the touch, only when weight is put on it while sitting or standing. It hurts bad enough that I have to limp, because it feels like my hip is giving out. It only happens once in a while throughout the day, not constantly, and it lasts for about 30 minutes to an hour at a time. I've been experiencing this for about 2 weeks.

Anyone else experience this or know what it may be?

I'm going to the Obgyn on Friday for a check-up, so I'm going to ask my doctor about it then. Just wondering if anyone else has ever experienced this type of pain during pregnancy. Thanks!

Answers:

I think its pretty normal. I had it, twice. As your baby gets larger, your body adjusts. And your hipos begin to spread as you get ready to have the baby.
Heat, rest and streaches can help. I got put on bedrest with my first daughter due to severe siatica 3 weeks before I had her.
Hope you feel better!
