Is my bad eyesight the reason why I'm always tired?!

Question: Is my bad eyesight the reason why I'm always tired?
No matter how much sleep I get I am always tired.. people say it's because I'm growing (I'm 16), but I don't think it is.. I have really bad eye sight (worse than anybody I know) and usually have to spend the majority of the day trying to focus my eyes to see the board in class, and then when I'm not in class I spend a lot of time on my phone or using the computer..

I do have glasses, but they're uncomfortable and annoy me, so I don't wear them.. I'm looking into getting contact lenses, do you think this could possibly help stop me being so tired?

Thanks,
Will <3

Yes, eye-strain ABSOLUTELY could have something to do with your fatigue. If the present glasses are not helping, contacts are not likely to be any better. This may sound odd, but I will mention that some of my patients find their eyes are worse when they have neck problems, which then improve after a chiropractic adjustment. I find this to be true, myself.

if your not getting headaches from the eye strain, then it might not be the reason your tired. You could be just growing, but also it could be hormonal changes too. keep track of other symptoms and if you really feel something is wrong, go get checked out. It could also be seasonal depression.

problems from diabetes? Avoid sugar. Get tested.

You should wear your glasses less eye strain.
Yes, contacts will definitely help.
