More ibuprofen = reduced pain?!


Question: More ibuprofen = reduced pain?
I recently had some dental work done and now my mouth is killing me. Simple question here: Will taking more than the dose on the directions of ibuprofen (or any pain killer) increase the effectiveness it has on dulling pain? Or is there a certain threshold where taking more does nothing other then harm you?

Max dose on Ibuprofen should be 1000mg. That is what prescription strength would be. Try not to take more than that at one time.
