Anesthesia Question? PLEASE HELP?!

Question: Anesthesia Question? PLEASE HELP?
Ok so I didn't have a problem with my epidural with my daughter, but now I have to have general anesthesia for a CKC. That means I will be going under and fall asleep. Seeing as I didn't have any problem with my epidural does that mean I wont likely have problems with this type of anesthesia I am getting? Please don't tell me any horror stories

Answers:

Most people have no problems with general anesthesia. You're asleep before you know it, and when you wake up, it's all over. Usually, you feel a little nauseated and headachey when you wake up, but that's the worst of it. You'll be fine.

I've had 3 surgeries requiring general anesthesia, and I lived to tell you about it.

There really is no way to know. Epidurals and general anesthetics are quite different techniques, with almost no overlap in the drugs used.

Most people don't have problems with general anesthesia. If something nasty runs in your family with regard to anesthesia, it's important to pass that information to your anesthesiologist.

What's a CKC? I've been in operating rooms for over 20 years and have never heard that abbreviation used.

I'm an anesthesiologist.

It's very very rare to have any major problems after a general. I had one for knee surgery and the only "side effect" I had was I was a bit dizzy for 30 minutes. that passed and here I am to tell the tale. I'm sure all will go well.
