Nauseous after gallbladder removal? Could it be something worse?!

Question: Nauseous after gallbladder removal? Could it be something worse?
Okay so I'm 19 years old and during christmas break I had my gallbladder removed and I've been watching what I've been eating. I wasn't nauseous for a while but for some reason now I am. I haven't vomited and Im still able to eat. The nausea comes and goes and happens randomly during the day and can last for hours or minutes. I also get random burst of pain that aren't severe but it's like a pinch or a twist in my abdomen. I have had my period so I know that's not it, and yes, it was a regular period, at the right time, with normal bleeding and normal symptoms of ovulation and things that I normally get when I have my period. (e.g. cramps, nausea, headaches, fatigue). Is this normal after gallbladder removal?

Hi, had my gallbladder removed Sept 2010 by keyhole surgery, can only say that I had none of the symptoms that you are experiencing. After the initial discomfort of the operation had worn off I was pretty much back to normal. Usually after this op the bile duct is left in place and produces enough bile for normal digestion, so you should be feeling your normal self. I would advise a chat with your GP if these symptoms are continuing, a simple blood test may be all it needs to show if there are any other problems, Hope this helps.
