Sharp pain, trouble breathing!?!


Question: Sharp pain, trouble breathing!?
for the past 2 weeks i have been through incredible amounts of stress due to family issues and an increased workload.
I haven't gotten a lot of sleep lately, 4-6 hour periods of sleep. So lately, i have been very fatigued
however even when i do get sufficient hours of sleep - i still feel fatigued, this has been going on for months.
now, i noticed a sharp pain in my rib cage, around the bottom of where my left lung is.
this makes it difficult to breathe, as when i do i feel an immense amount of pain.

what could this be?

Have you ever gone running and receive a "side stitch"? It's when you breath much more
aggressively than what you are used to and your diaphragm gets tired and sore. You're so stressed out that your breathing
is a little more irregular and after a while it takes a toll on that muscle.

The only way to fix it is to calm down and sleep, as impossible as that may seem right now.

Tight back muscles are giving you that pain for they often send the pains around the body on the nerves to become pains in the rib, chest or heart areas. When you breathe your ribs expand out into the pinched muscle to give you the additional pain. To get rid of the pains you have to free up your back muscles and here's how to do that:
Back:
(do from a sitting position)
Place your left hand on your left leg next to your body. Place your right hand over your left shoulder, fingers over the back and the palm in the front and firmly pull down on them and hold. After 30 seconds slowly lower your body forward and to the outside of your left leg, keeping your left arm fairly straight as you do. When you reach your lap remain there for another 10 seconds, release the pressure but rest there for another 30 seconds. Then reverse your hand positions and do your right side.
I believe you also have tight neck muscles that are causing you to feel so fatigued. When the neck muscles are tight they restrict everything going in and out of your head including the blood. When there is a reduced blood flow to the brain you will have a lowered oxygen level there as well. You will know when the oxygen level has dropped when you feel very tired. If the level drops more you get dizzy and if it drops more you will pass out. To get rid of this problem you have to free up your neck muscles and here's how to do that:
Neck
Put your hands alongside your head so your thumbs are on the front of the muscle under your ear and your fingers are on the back of the muscle behind your neck. Squeeze your thumb and fingers together and hold. Relax your body. When your fingers and thumb touch, about two minutes, slowly lower your head as far as you can, release the pressure but hold your neck lowered for another 30 seconds. For both- for best results relax your body first by taking a deep breath and exhaling then remain this relaxed.



I had the same thing and went to Urgent care twice.It might be Costochondritis, which means its the inflammation of the costal cartilages, that is characterized by pain of the anterior chest wall that may radiate. so when breathing your rib cage expands and contracts along with your lungs. therefor one of your rib cartilages is inflammed. Or it might be Pleurisy.Pleurisy is swelling (inflammation) of the thin layers of tissue (pleura) covering the lungs and the chest wall. Pleurisy usually lasts a few days to 2 weeks. In very rare cases, the virus or bacteria may spread and cause pleurisy in others.

Other causes of pleurisy include air leaking into the pleural cavity from a hole in a lung (pneumothorax), injury to the chest (such as a broken rib), tuberculosis or other infections, or a tumor in the pleura.However, At most cases, You can treat pleurisy with antibiotics and ibuprofen, on the other hand Costochondritis is just a matter of time and getting some rest.
